Part one of this little series. Departing the farthest driveable road in Alaska's northern arctic near the coast at Prudhoe Bay (aka Deadhorse). Traveling down the Dalton Highway on an adventure that leads me all the way down the Kenai to Homer and Kachemak Bay.
Having driven my truck all the way up to the starting point some months prior (I work there and spend weeks at a time), this adventure documents the reverse trip southward.
Part 1 spans two days where I cruise across the North Slope up to the Brooks Range and overnight at Galbraith Lake before continuing on down the Dalton Highway to the Yukon River and overnighting on a mountain top just south of there.
Hope you stay tuned for the adventure!
