On July 30, 2019, at approximately 4:35pm, members of the Pelham Police and the Pelham Fire Department responded to the area of 155 Sherburne Road for a two car motor vehicle crash.

Upon arrival, officers located two vehicles with heavy front end damage. One vehicle was up an embankment on the north side of the road. The airbags deployed and the driver and the passenger were injured and sitting outside their 2006 Kia Sorento. The Kia had been operated by Carl Webster, age 53, from Hudson, NH. He had one passenger in his vehicle at the time of the crash, she was identified as Diana Simonetti, age 58, of Hudson, NH. Carl had been driving westbound when he traveled over the double yellow line and hit a 2017 Dodge pickup truck head on.

The Dodge was operated by Peterson Campbell, age 27, of Pelham, NH. Campbell was traveling eastbound down Sherburne Road when the Kia drove over the double yellow line hitting his vehicle as he was traveling within his lane. Campbell’s truck had a dash camera that recorded the entire crash.

All three occupants went to the hospital. Carl suffered serious bodily injury and Diane suffered superficial injuries. They were transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Nashua for medical attention. Campbell suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Southern New Hampshire Regional Hospital where he was treated and released.

Webster was cited for crossing the double yellow line and the reason why he went over the double yellow line remains under investigation. As a result of the crash, Sherburne Road was closed for approximately an hour in the middle of rush hour traffic. Hudson Police assisted with the road closure.
