Hello everyone! Welcome to our channel. In today’s video Smart Banana will tell you about mysterious creatures that live in the deepest place of our planet, the Mariana Trench.

The deepest, darkest, scariest place on the maps is a crescent-shaped canyon in the western Pacific Ocean. The deepest point of the world ocean, the Challenger Deep, is situated at the southern end of the Mariana Trench. It lies at close to almost 7 miles below the sea level. In fact, it really IS a challenge to get down there.

It’s much more difficult to dive deep down into the ocean, than trying to climb up to the highest mountain peaks on the planet. If there were no water at all, it would be much easier to explore the deepest valleys of the ocean bottom.

However, if we compared the depth of the ocean to the total mass of Earth, we’d realize that the planet is covered with a pretty thin layer of water that is only deep compared to our size. The difference between the Mt. Everest, the highest peak above the sea level, and the Challenger Deep, the deepest point of the world ocean, is less than 12.500 miles.
